This Blog is primarily a photoblog documenting what I see when I drive around in New Orleans. My photography consists of both 'photography as art' and photography of art.' My focus here is primarily the latter; there is so much to see and show in New Orleans that I don't get around to taking that many artsy pictures.

US Out of New Orleans
This reminds me of the Boston Legal episode where they are in New Orleans and Alan Shore argues that New Orleans was not part of the US during Katrina because the federal government was not there. It is easily argued that this is still the case. I suppose the artist is suggesting that the government should not be exerting power here if it is not willing to exert rebuilding effort to match it. I will be tagging all of the work I suspect to be by this artist as US out of New Orleans. There is similar work concerning banks which I assume is the same artist. I love the police in the background too. I honestly did not see them when I was taking the pictures, as I was moving fairly quickly.
